“Amphibious boat for Charter / Sale /Offers. This is a “Larc”type vessel, which is more a sea based boat than a “Duck”. It is licensed to carry 48 passengers or light cargo. It was built in 2009 in Tyrrells, Arklow, Ireland. It wasdesigned by Naval Architect – Hugo Van Der Zwan and hydraulics by Marshall Engineering.

It is aclass iv Passenger ship operating in a large estuary and licence may beupgraded. It is 38 feet(11.6m) long by 12 feet(3.8m) beam approx. It has a shipstability book.

She has six sealed compartments underdeck.
It is not a typical “duck” that does a street tour and a short tripin a river. This is more a robust estuary/river/coastal boat that can go up ongravel/sand beach.
It is robustly built to a high specification in Marine Grade Aluminium. It isworking on hard mud, gravel, sand beach at the moment. The drive is hydraulic,with each wheel driven by hydraulic motor. It has a differential lock givinghigh traction. It can drive beside a truck to take a pallet to a location onwater or an island etc.
A crane can be added. Seats can be removed. Roof can be opened. It can betransported by road. There is a wheelchair friendly toilet onboard.
This vessel would be useful on the shore side, estuary of pipeline or windfarm etc. No need for a nearby pier.”
