LeTourneau Class 52 Slot Jackup Mobile Offshore Platform

LeToruneau self-elevating mobile offshore platform.  ABS A1 approved for exploration and development drilling.  The principle dimensions are 203’ long x 166’ wide x 22’ deep hull with three 324’ legs and a 50’ wide x 41’ long drilling slot.

 

DESIGN CRITERIA

The platform is designed for 1500 tons variable load plus a 1,100,000 lb derrick pull.  Platform elevating speed is 90 feet per hour.

 

PLATFORM POWER

Five Cat D-398 Diesel Turbocharged engines rated @ 1000 hp each with GE 752 DC generators and 4

 LeTourneau 500 KW AC generators with General Electric DC control and distribution panel.

 

TOWING THRUSTERS

Two Baylor 90” diameter, Kort Nozzle Thrusters capable of delivering a total bollard pull of 82,500 lbs, each unit driven by a General Electric Model 752 motor.  System designed for a 5.0 knot advanced speed under tow.

 

DERRICK, SUBSTRUCTURE AND SUBBASE

Lee C. Moore 160’ x 30’ x 30’ T-leg dynamic derrick; designed for 1,100,000 lb GNC, adjustable casing stabbing platform and vapor proof lighting.

LeTourneau substructure and subbase 19’ high, allows a 650,000 lb casing capacity, 350,000 lb. setback, complete with rig skidding system to permit fore and aft movement of subbase and traverse movement of the substructure.

 

DRAWWORKS

National 1320-UE with integral dual GE 752 electric motor, 60” Baylor El Mago Brake, sand reel with 18000 ft. capacity of 9/16” wire line, grooving for 1 3/8” line, over-running clutch, National automatic drilling control, Crown-O-Matic device, Top Drive-Varco 500 ton TDS-3

 

ROTARY

National C-375, 0-250 RPM, 800 continuous HP, driven off drawworks, Varco KMP bushing

 

TRAVELING EQUIPMENT

National 650H500 Traveling Block, 500 ton capacity, 6 – 50” sheaves for 1 – 3/8” line.

National H-500 Hook, complete with hydraulic snubber and rotation lock.  National 650H Swivel.

 

MUD SYSTEM AND SERVICE

2 – national 10-P-130 mud pumps with forged steel fluid ends, Hydril K-20-5000 pulsation    dampener, each driven by - - GE 752 DC motors rated at 1300 HP input.

2- Halco 6” x 8” centrifugal supercharging pumps, each driven by 75 HP explosion proof electrical motors.

3 – Lightning mud mixers, each driven by 15 hp explosion proof electrical motors
