Laid down by the
Wm f. Stone and Sons Co. in California in 1942 as Y-200
Reclassified in
1947 as the RHEA (AMS 52). She was
decommissioned in 1957 and sold to the Ships, Engines and Equipment Company in
1960 and was used for many years to trail sea cadets in Port Stanley, Ontario. Scrapped 1997, the RHEA was the sister ship
to Jacques Cousteau’s Calypso.
